Cross the threshold…

Their new album is titled “The Threshold” referring to their current state and journey to come back into the mainstream. They want their track list to mirror their struggle they’ve faced and tell the story of hitting rock bottom and rising up. This new chapter in their lives is a new opportunity to transform back to the band they once were.

When developing the design of the album, I used a word triad of mysterious, nostalgic, and entrancing to help solidify my vision. To fans, this is new territory, unsure of what is to come from their new music. Keeping with the classic design elements of 60s and 70s psychedelic era, I warped my type, used trippy curvilinear lines, and lots of fun and bright colors.

The single off the album “The Threshold” gave users a taste of what is to come and inspire them to purchase tickets to be one of the firsts to hear what else is on the album.

The Band is Back!

The band is Silver Fern & the Starry Plains- formed by singer songwriter Fern Weyes in 2003 in Long Beach, California. Inspired by the psychedelia that originated in the 1960s with Grateful dead and Jefferson Airplane, Weyes pays homage to the authenticity and creativity through her own artistic efforts.

The band has been on a long break over the past two years and haven’t updated their devoted following since. Because they are inactive online, the artist's engagement has been at a decline. Followers assumed that the band lost interest in them and thought that they weren’t coming back. Their credibility is also challenged because there is no trust between the brand and its users. In efforts to salvage their reputation and reconnect with fans, the band has been working on new material behind the scenes and are ready to make in impact again. So, in efforts to try and fix the mess they’ve put themselves into they are releasing a brand-new album alongside holding an album release party to reengage with their audiences again and become relevant again.
