ABOUT THE CLIENT
Turlock Adult School is an adult education program operated by the Turlock Unified School District that provides learning opportunities for adults (18 +) in a supportive educational environment. It’s designed to help learners meet academic goals, improve job skills, and prepare for further education or careers. The mission of Turlock Adult School, a unique and diverse learning community, is to support students in developing real-world abilities and meeting individual goals in a safe and responsive environment.
MISSION: Update the Turlock Adult School logo that strays from imagery of people towards a new design that embodies the school’s message of finding the path to success through education.
Behind the Design
The client wanted a logo that included a graduation cap, tassel, and pathway. I integrated a upwards path through closure into the graduation cap and towards the tassel to emphasize the journey to success. While many school logos feature the same elements, it was important for create one that stands above the pack and can be easily identifiable as a professional institution for learning that will guarantee success.

ABOUT THE CLIENT
Each spring TUSD hosts an annual all-day music festival to showcase the District’s music students, while celebrating character, music and the arts. It’s designed to bring together students, families, and the community to celebrate and support the arts in education. In addition to performances, the event typically includes vendor booths, informational displays, visual arts exhibits, and community organization tables in the quad or common areas.
MISSION: Create a official logo for TUSD Festival on The Green that can be paired with the TUSD logo while matching the events goals of showcasing its students musical and artistic talents district-wide. Maintain a friendly and encouraging creative environment for all.
Behind the Design
Festival on the Green is an event that students of Turlock Unified School District look forward to each year, so formulating an identity that captures the fun and artistic sides of the festival was necessary. I started off with 3 strong concepts after my research and sketching and the client selected concept 2 with the same paintbrush in concept 1 that is a stylized exclamation point. We adjusted the colors to create a harmonic palette that is reminiscent of the music that will be performed by the students and the spring season when the event is held.
